Issues? Attacks? What is Presidential?

October 1, 2016

Open "mic" time (a pun).  Trump vs Hillary.  There is a saying about "the devil we know, versus the devil we don't"  Never mind.

I am literally afraid to say anything about Donald Trump.  Donald blows up people at 3AM with Tweets if they talk about him in a way he does not like. I will say I do not think Donald Trump is tough, however.  He did not have the courage to admit he had a cold in the first debate, and could not control his sniffles.

New Youk Loves the Donald?

October 2, 2016

Is it true this is the cover of the New Yorker?  Body shaming is a bitch Donald.  I wanted to find something positive on Donald Trump.  I tried.

Defense Contracting, acquisition of weapon systems

October 2, 2016

Does the United States really need to add to the defense budget?  I think we need to get the military to better define a wise mix of people, weapons, and strategies to fight the only wars we must fight, without being adventurers.  We cannot apply our military to create democracies, that is clear.  We cannot apply our military to be the world's policeman, or to force Western ways on other nations.  We should be happy to be World Citizens, not World Bullies.  We know what we have.  Let's be at...

Tribute to Red Sox Baseball Big Papi

October 2, 2016

Here is to Big Papi  I do not know how to upright the Fenway Franks, but the right view is vertical.  Guess who my 16 year old at the time daughter write in of all the players she could have picked?  She wrote "David Ortiz" and gave this to me for my birthday!  I always insist on NO purchased gifts, only hand made.  This was an amazing gift!!

Doing What is Right in a Military Formation

October 2, 2016

In a standard formation, only soldiers can remain in the ranks.  The father deploying was allowed to have his daughter by his side before deploying.  Our soldiers fight to keep and sustain our way of life, the idealistic America in our dreams, and do not necessarily fight against others ways or beliefs so much.  Truth.

PS - I am a rookie blogger. Have not figured how to turn the photo upright.

Election Anxiety

October 7, 2016

I am afraid this election, apparently more than most past elections for president of the United States, is making people psychologically ill.  That is a sad state, but not surprising if you studied psychology in college.  Too much freedom can be painful!  Believe it, re B.F. Skinner, et al.

Donald Trump and Relationships - "You're Fired!"

October 8, 2016

Can any woman feel good supporting the man-boy Trump?  How?  Is it explained via a version of the "Stockholm Syndrome?"  How does Bill Clinton's sexual adventurism relate to or compare to Donald's explicit and open sexual adventurism?  Really, how?  Go ahead Donald, bring up the topic in the Town Hall or a debate and see how it goes.  I hope you get personal, as you call it.  Nasty, ugly, sick is what I call it; adolescent teenager behavior.  Folks, think through this latest false...

Movie "The Innocents" - Example of Judging "What is Right" Wrong

October 8, 2016

This movie "based on" facts is about Russian soldiers forcing themselves on a convent full of nuns.  Many get pregnant.  A French female doctor helps as a mid-wife.  Watch it, it uses the sub-titles.  Think about decisions.  The Holy Mother makes a choice that is based on saving the convent, i.e., "the greater good."  Very sad.

Governing Our Country By Religion - Want a Theocracy?

October 9, 2016

I don't want to go too deep into religion, but our founding fathers did not plan of governing from the church pulpit.  They left England for, and believed in, religious freedom, the absolute opposite of religious dominion.

Theocracy.  You look at the list . . . Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Afghanistan . . . Catholics . . . Utah . . . (a little humor goes a long way I hope); smile ya'll!!

Pre-award and Post-award Contract Reviews, and Integrated Baseline Reviews

October 9, 2016

I want to discuss defense contracting from my 44 years experience.  I was Director of the Small ICBM Contracting Division 1989 to 1992.  I used termination for convenience on the $2Billion Small ICBM defense program, versus deductive changes.  I am expert on Integrated Baseline Reviews.  I spoke with the creator of Contract Implementation Reviews and made a presentation at a National Contract Management Conference on how to use IBRs and CIRs.

I was a "Procurement Contracting Officer" in...

Who is Fooling Whom?

October 9, 2016

BE AWARE!

Propaganda Techniques:

False equivalency.
Bandwagon.
Testimonial.
Glittering Generalities.
Name Calling.
Plain Folks.
Card Stacking.
Transfer.

Mis-direction and deflecting.

Twisting the words of adversaries into falsehoods.

Tell a lie long enough so people will believe it.  Keep saying the lie over and over and over.

Beware of "I heard that . . . ", "Believe me."  Not listing sources . . .; and be aware of glib career politicians, Trump and / or Hillary.  Who is fooling us more?

I...

Trying to See the Trump Arguments

October 10, 2016

I look at this picture and it gives me a chill.  What can Donald Trump think, say, or do next?

Does settling law suits imply guilt?

October 12, 2016

Kellyanne Conway wants to quit Trump, but she is a good employee and will stay the course, to the end, no matter how it sickens her to do so.  "Unless . . . "

I feel sorry for Kellyanne; Mike Pence too, for what Donald Trump has pulled them into.  Donald is not talking about what he will do, but rather chooses to talk about the faults of other people.

At a rally in Iowa on Tuesday led by Mike Pence, a Donald Trump supporter said she’s “ready for a revolution” if Hillary Clinton wins the...

Seeking the Truth and Clarifying Charity

October 12, 2016

Charitable grants are not a major focus of the Clinton Foundation.  The Foundation hires staff to execute humanitarian programs.  This means they do not give away the donations to other charities, i.e., grant hem money, the Clinton Family Foundation ensures the people who need help get the help directly, not thru an intermediary.  That is a good thing, so you should know it.

The charity watchdog group "Charity Navigator" gave the Foundation its highest possible rating, four out of four stars...

I Will Put My Opponent in Jail

October 12, 2016

Donald Trump promises to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton if he is elected president of the United States.  If he were in charge of the law Hillary would be in jail.  Anyone who likes that idea can kiss your democracy good-bye.

There is a poem you better read up on and get familiar with by Martin Niemoeller:

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Bec...

"Classified" emails and Very Flawed Document Markings - Errors ARE the Norm!

October 12, 2016

Document marking errors are the norm!  The Guides are VERY complex.

I got 365,000 hits in Google for "Definitions of DoD Classified markings"  It is complex and confusing and not something you can judge in "yes" and "no" questions.  It does not work that way.

Hillary Clinton can say she did not send any classified emails because the emails had to be properly and clearly MARKED as classified to BE classified.  A "C" classification means "Confidential."  That "C" is the lowest classification,...

"Cherry Picking" the Labor and Economy Facts, Twisting Reality

October 13, 2016

Facts.  Try them, please.

I recognize both sides may be cherry picking facts, they have to do that to get elected and make their preferred point, so we have to be our own honest broker and dig up the complete story ourselves

We owe it to our country to do so!  These statistics are based on the Congressional Budget Office.  That is Congress are of the Government.

An alternative site, the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

Cherry Picking the Facts Addendum

October 13, 2016

Graphic information

Go read the other charts at your leisure if you care to know the facts.

Some of us do not want to know the truth based on facts.

That leaves the non-researchers with a problem.  Those of us who make an effort to get to know what is true will be the real winners.  Politicians promise you everything, as Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have done, as usual.  Donald is the change candidate, and Hillary is the more of the same candidate.

Please build your reality on the...

Cherry Picking addendum - Repeat "False Equivalence"

October 13, 2016

Charity giving by VERY rich people; Trump, Buffet

On charity, Trump wants to compare his giving to a truly nice and simple living guy, but MUCH richer, and the result is Trump looks dumb.  By the way, Trump gave zero dollars to the 9-11 Fund.

In the Daily News:

"City Controller Scott Stringer conducted a review of hundreds of pages of previously sealed records of the two main 9/11 charities at the request of the Daily News, and found that Trump and his charity hadn't donated a dime in the...
