Tweety wanted, and Sarah Sanders passed on the message, that ESPN should fire Jemele Hill for saying Tweety was a White Supremacist on her TV show. It is true so ESPN did not fire Jemele. Tweety has said media people who criticize him should be fired.
Kelly Sadler immature, contemptible, hideous, appalling joke was not in bad taste, it was sick and ugly in the best light. Yet she will not be fired because Tweety hates McCain THAT much enough to wish him dead already! He just will not tweet that thought although he surely thinks that thought.
Would anyone hope Kelly Sadler, her husband, or her mother gets a cancer soon?
By the way, ESPN's Jemele Hill observation that Tweety is a White Supremacist was just a fact. Live with it. Tweety owns it, so why don't his supporters? You cannot blame anyone for saying it Mr. Tweety.
The example of extreme nastiness and ugliness Tweety sets everywhere he goes is infecting his staff so they see it is OK, maybe to impress the boss, to joke about a man dying of brain cancer, especially if it is John McCain, an American war hero Tweety disparaged during his campaign to be President.
"The Trump White House crossed a new threshold for political debasement this week"
by Aaron Blake May 12, 2018
"The White House probably thinks it cannot punish Kelly Sadler for her awful comment about John McCain because President Trump has also said nasty things about McCain. It may worry that showing her the door would set a troubling precedent for a president who may one day cross a very similar line.
Welcome to the ongoing degradation of our political discourse. Destination: No end in sight."
A White House female staffer "joked" (who jokes about caner patients dying?) no one had to pay attention to McCain's criticism of the nominee for CIA Director's involvement in using torture during the search for terrorists. She actually thinks she got good information. She is likely willing to use it again against the Geneva Conventions that have protected Americans in war for 70 years.
Let's all make jokes about Kelly Sadler's parents dying soon, shall we? How about her other family members?
Kelly Sadler is an asshole and should quite her job out of honor and to admit she knows she did something wrong, joke or no joke. Own your sickness, babe.
"There is apparently a sense that Sadler made the comment jokingly — perhaps it was crass rather than plainly awful. That may be the more charitable explanation, but it does not do much to mitigate the awfulness of the comment. She would still be having a laugh at the expense of the seriously ill senator. Whoever heard it clearly thought it was bad enough to leak it to journalists and air it publicly.
Mostly, though, this all shows how unlikely the trend is to arrest itself any time soon. Either because the White House is afraid of setting a standard Trump cannot meet or because Trump is demanding it hold the line against the media's outrage cycle, it is serving notice there are more important things than Sadler's public accountability: things like confidentiality and politics."
America is embarrassed for Sadler, and Tweety supporters are not, of that I am certain.
