Tweety Twump and Steve Bannon, to name two of the "Gang" in our Government who are alike, are rich and seeking to self-actualize themselves as Maslow predicted. The rich members of the Cabinet are likely not as ugly in their morality as Tweety, in my opinion. The problem is that SA is not always a a morality Maslow predicted. There is likely a continuum starting with "good" [in the eye of the beholder] morality to immorality. We should be able to see the difference.

This article / opinion includes Tweety voters, but I am focusing on Tweety. I can see how voters have needs, but they are not self-actualizing and most are not at the pinnacle of the pyramid.
"At its most basic level, Trump’s harsh rhetoric appeals to the bottommost layers of Maslow’s hierarchy - physiological and safety needs. He’s going to deliver more jobs at higher pay, make “winning” so common it becomes boring, and ensure that Americans are protected against terrorists domestic and foreign, can shout “Merry Christmas” from the highest rooftops, and stop Mexicans from taking the jobs that Americans don’t want. But it’s the next two levels on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs that best explain Trump’s core character and his continuing support: esteem and love/belonging. As the exemplar of unabashed narcissism, The Donald is all about ego-stroking. If you love him, he loves you back. If you make the slightest of slights, the Trump venom will flow fast and furious. He has a deep insecurity that requires near constant affirmation of his greatness - and he manifests his “greatness” by a bullying demeanor. Maslow said, “If you only have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.” The Trump corollary is, “If you’re a bully, you tend to see every encounter as an opportunity to bully.”
Most tellingly, Trump provided his loyal supporters with something they rarely experience: the very same esteem and love/belonging. Trump voters tend to reside on the fringes where they are often afraid to voice their politically incorrect (and often abhorrently) beliefs and opinions. Trump has used the love/belonging need to create a community of the racist, homophobic, nationalistic, and AK-47-toting, ill-informed masses. The kind of vile individuals Maslow summarized as such:
“Rioting is a childish way of trying to be a man, but it takes time to rise out of the hell of hatred and frustration and accept that to be a man you don’t have to riot.” Unfortunately, rioting is all Trump and his followers know."
The word that comes to mind is "SINISTER" when I think of Tweety and his WH Gang. The COS, his "Strategic Advisors" [SB and KC], and the billionaires all seems sinister to me, in different ways.
"Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs" by Saul McLeod published 2007, updated 2016
http://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html
"One must satisfy lower level deficit needs before progressing on to meet higher level growth needs. When a deficit need has been satisfied it will go away, and our activities become habitually directed towards meeting the next set of needs that we have yet to satisfy. These then become our salient needs. However, growth needs continue to be felt and may even become stronger once they have been engaged. Once these growth needs have been reasonably satisfied, one may be able to reach the highest level called self-actualization."
Uh oh! What I next? Humans can move up and down, back and forth. That matches Tweety as he sues people and loses nearly $1billion in one year, and has 5 or 6 bankruptcies. Those losses must have really hurt him, for about a nanosecond. lol
"The original hierarchy of needs five-stage model includes:
1. Biological and Physiological needs - air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sex, sleep.
2. Safety needs - protection from elements, security, order, law, stability, freedom from fear.
3. Love and belongingness needs - friendship, intimacy, trust and acceptance, receiving and giving affection and love. Affiliating, being part of a group (family, friends, work).
4. Esteem needs - achievement, mastery, independence, status, dominance, prestige, self-respect, respect from others.
5. Self-Actualization needs - realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences."
How does Tweety handle his "SA?"
"As each individual is unique the motivation for self-actualization leads people in different directions (Kenrick et al., 2010). For some people self-actualization can be achieved through creating works of art or literature, for others through sport, in the classroom, or within a corporate setting.
Maslow (1962) believed self-actualization could be measured through the concept of peak experiences. This occurs when a person experiences the world totally for what it is, and there are feelings of euphoria, joy and wonder."
My sense of Tweety Twump is that he has NOT reached SA yet, and is stuck in the need to esteem, so his self-esteem is still weak. Tat is why he needs to bully people and is so defensive. Safety and love and belongingness might also be under achieved by Tweety, thus his need to be loved continues, and his defensiveness seems to make him feel unsafe from deprecation, and dislike.
My bottom line is that Tweety is one messed up "bad hombre."
