"Soft power' brings 100X more security to the United States that a Wall to protect 3 states, and adding funds to try to increase DoD "hard power" simply loses more money in a sink hole of a already unmanageable DOD budget.  If Tweety thinks Congress is archaic, he should look into how ridiculous the defense acquisition system processes are!

My opinion is that The Wall idea is not about whether it is effective, but the fact America needs to spend those billions on bigger priorities.  Hire more Border patrol people since that gives Government jobs to people who need them.  make sure these new Border Patrollers are not themselves criminals and killers tho.  People are cheaper than the wall I think.  People can be transferred to other jobs when needed.

The "Wall funds" can go toward INFRASTRUCTURE - highways, water systems, elctrci grid, etc etc
