Sotomayer's dissent is linked below, and I offer a Fox article on her opinion below.  First, read and heed Trump's demand that the SCOTUS bow to him.  The SCOTUS is unique to him, with him not realizing when he wins he is better off shutting his mouth and stopping his tweets.

Trump exposes his ignorance how SCOTUS operates, where SCOTUS allows dissent in a lost cause.

Trump exposes his treachery to, and hate for the Constitution of the United States by demanding SCOTUS obedience to his every whim.

"Trump slams Sotomayor and Ginsburg, says they should recuse themselves from ‘Trump-related’ cases

Trump proves Sotomayor right by saying what he said.  He only wants judges who rule for his cause, and refuses to listen to dissent.

" . . . Trump was provoked by a dissent she wrote last week after the Supreme Court, in a 5-to-4 decision, allowed the Trump administration’s “public charge” rule to go into effect. The immigration policy turns away immigrants likely to rely on public benefits to support themselves or their families.

On Friday, the conservative justices on the court granted the administration’s emergency application to halt a lower court’s ruling temporarily blocking the “public charge” rule from going into effect in Illinois."

Here is what the female [Trump has proven many, many times he hates strong women who stand against him.] Sotomayor SCOTUS said in her dissent.

https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/19pdf/19a905_7m48.pdf

In part she said this . . .

"JUSTICE SOTOMAYOR, dissenting from the grant of stay.

Today’s decision follows a now-familiar pattern. The Government seeks emergency relief from this Court, asking it to grant a stay where two lower courts have not. The Government insists—even though review in a court of appeals is imminent—that it will suffer irreparable harm if this Court does not grant a stay. And the Court yields.

But this application is perhaps even more concerning than past ones. Just weeks ago, this Court granted a stay of a different decision involving the same administrative rule at issue here, after the Government professed urgency because of the form of relief granted in the prior case—a nationwide injunction. The Government now uses that stay—of a nationwide injunction—to insist that it is entitled to one here. But the injunction in this case is limited to one State, Illinois. The Government cannot state with precision any of the supposed harm that would come from the Illinois-specific injunction, and the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit has scheduled oral argument for next week. The Government’s professed harm, therefore, boils down to an inability to enforce its immigration goals, possibly in only the immediate term, in one of 50 States. It is hard to say what is more troubling: that the Government would seek this extraordinary relief seemingly as a matter of course, or that the Court would grant it."

That's all you need to know Trump demands all courts to do as he bids.

"Sotomayor issues blistering dissent, says Republican-appointed justices have bias toward Trump administration"

By Ronn Blitzer | Fox News   23 Feb 2020

"That narrow scope, plus the fact that the 7th Circuit is scheduled to review the Illinois injunction in the coming week, led Sotomayor to believe that the government was not at risk of suffering significant harm that warranted the Supreme Court putting the injunction on hold.

The liberal justice expressed concern that a majority of her colleagues had no problem with this. She explained that it is unusual for an administration to seek stays against injunctions with this sort of frequency, yet it is becoming the new normal."

Fox calls the Justice "liberal," seeming to say her view is not about the law and abiding by the Constitution separation of powers.  Fox seems to say Sotomayor's dissent is about politics.

Sotomayor is demanding the SCOTUS NOT be political!

Fox tries to deflect by going backwards in history rather than reading the substantive facts of the dissent.  Fox conclusion, Ronn's "Trump bot" conclusion is dead wrong.

The future is what matters, not the past, when SCOTUS uses nonsense to reach a decision FOR Trump's unwarranted change to welfare entitlements for the poor.

The GOP always impresses me with how they choose to cut entitlements for the weak, elderly, young children, poor, and sick people as though THEY caused their situations, so it must be the weak, elderly, young children, poor, and sick that caused the deficits.

Spending is fine on big, shiny, new VERY EXPENSIVE STATE OF THE ART DoD weapons, a useless Wall, a Space Force, and NASA.  None of these have anything to do with the deficit, right?

"Recent history, however, shows that the conservative majority has been anything but in lockstep with conservative politics. Last year, Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch -- both Trump appointees -- drew attention for siding with the court's liberal contingent on a number of cases.

Chief Justice John Roberts, appointed by President George W. Bush, had perhaps the most notorious break from the conservative ranks when he ruled in favor of Obamacare in 2012."
