I want to avoid criticizing Trump, but his credibility is extremely weak to start after three years of lies and ridiculous tweets. He even wants to blame Obama for the coronavirus!

Only, as critics were quick to point out, it was the Trump administration that wiped out the National Security Council’s global health security unit created to counter pandemics, as well as its counterpart within the Department of Homeland Security. And appointed a paranoid pharma executive to run the Department of Health and Human Services, who reportedly failed to coordinate an effective response due to distrust of his own aides and a desire not to “offend” the president. And told officials “not to do or say anything” re: the virus that would “spook the markets,” including, apparently, telling the truth or devising a plan of action that doesn’t sound like it was drawn up by Don Jr. and Eric from their super secret clubhouse with the “NO GIRLS ALLOWED” sign.

The lies and excuses keep coming.

Trump thinks the virus can be fixed in two months. It takes at least 12 months, more likely 18 months!
I will not say Trump is incredibly stupid, unaware, unwilling to use experts, unable to plan ahead, totally self-centered, incredibly self-centered to the detriment of all Americans, except maybe the hypocrite, single-issue, unforgiving, Bible weaponizing, casting the first stone, fake "Christians" who often call themselves Evangelicals, and make me disavow religion as a whole.
What I will say is maybe Trump just wants coronavirus to go away quick, and does not care if he sounds stupid.
On the other hand Trump walked out on his own speech and before his news conference was complete to help us all feel better about how he is handling a potential pandemic, and he glanced back over his shoulder angrily while his CDC experts will still answering questions . . . contradicting about everything he said about how his administration was controlling the virus.

In fact, to me, his first TV appearance to address the coronavirus pandemic suggested HE was in panic mode, worrying about the stock market, the economy, the Dems, and the media when he needed to tell us the steps his experts will take to manage a possible 1,000,000 infected Americans needing respirators.
Trump needed to tell us what to do now and what to anticipate.
Diseases that travel too fast to control ARE ALWAYS DANGEROUS even if symptoms are mostly mild.
President Trump is not helping AMERICA with speeches that are debates about who is at fault. He is the President and has to be man enough, mature enough to talk past the Democrats BS claims.

Trump's coronavirus warning 26 Feb 2020 was more a campaign speech than a calming note for Americans. He spoke about the stock market, a "good" economy (for the rich - even good jobs numbers are deceptive in that the jobs do not pay the bills or allow people to save money), and he said the Dems & media are blowing the coronavirus threat out of proportion.
Trump gave NO SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS and contradicted everything the experts said!
Did Trump intend for Americans to wait out the pandemic, meaning a fast spreading virus that is capable of killing, until it kills as many people as the flu did in 1918?
Should Americans take precautions BEFORE the coronavirus kills as many people as the flu?
Panic occurs in a vacuum and President Trump left a huge vacuum after his speech.
I look in my Trump supporter friends eyes and ask them if they think Trump is really concerned or cares about the deaths of Americans that can occur.
I ask my friends who support Trump no matter what if his speech to tell America about the coronavirus was political or a safety message. Sure elements were funny like his joke, and that is calming. But he went against DHS and Homeland Security experts comments!
What does the stock market or economy have to do with the safety ,easures we should take in the wake of the coronavirus?
Don't tell me the President brought up the stock market because if it plummets, and if the economy goes bad, the Dems will win, so the Dems are making the coronavirus worse. It's a Dem HOAX!?
Do the Dems want the coronavirus to be very bad so they can win an election? Maybe some Dems are that stupid, but 99% are not so dumb.
