Endlessly lying to America makes our President is literally UNBELIVABLE, and has no credibility whatsoever.

"‘Answer my question’: Fox anchor grills defiant Stephen Miller on Trump’s national emergency"

"Unstoppable rhetoric collided with immovable facts on “Fox News Sunday,” as White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller defended President Trump’s national emergency declaration and invoked the potential for a veto if Congress disapproves in an interview with Chris Wallace."

Here's the question Stevie could not answer:

"“Then answer my question, can you name one case where a president has asked Congress for money, Congress has refused, and the president has then invoked national powers to get the money anyway?”"

Stevie could not answer the question because there has never been one time the President used his powers to get money for a project where Congress has not provided it.

"Miller ended the segment with a portent of even more challenging political maneuvering.

By September 2020, Miller said, “hundreds of miles” of new barriers will have been built along the border.

And he suggested that if Congress passes a resolution disapproving of the emergency, Trump would probably veto it. “He’s going to protect his national emergency declaration, guaranteed.  .  .  . "

Judges and Congress are on notice.  Will they protect our Constitution and separation of powers, or not?

The Judges in each court Trump's pseudo emergency is teste din how have the opportunity to defend the Constitution separation of powers and power of the purse.

Will Congress protect itself or allow Tweety to castrate it?

DOES CONGRESS CARE?  WILL THEY DO THEIR JOB?

"Does Congress Care About Trump’s Emergency?"

"On Monday, sixteen states filed a lawsuit in a federal court, in San Francisco, naming President Trump and several members of his Cabinet as defendants and asking that they be enjoined from carrying out what the suit called their “unconstitutional and unlawful scheme.” (The states are California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Virginia.) Specifically, the suit asked that the court “permanently enjoin Defendants from constructing a border wall without an appropriation by Congress for that purpose.”

Last Thursday, Congress approved a budget deal to head off another shutdown of much of the government. It included close to $1.4 billion for physical border barriers. That wasn’t enough for Trump: the next day, he said that he was invoking the National Emergencies Act of 1976, which would allow him to draw on previously allocated defense-construction funds"

It is the "Power of the Purse" Congress is yielding.  Is this good for the country?

Tweety dares the Supreme Court to deny him!  So will the Judges yield their power as well?

"Trump also made it clear that he didn’t care what the courts said, at least not the lower courts—and especially not the Ninth Circuit, where, he said, “we will possibly get a bad ruling, and then we’ll get another bad ruling. And then we’ll end up in the Supreme Court, and hopefully we’ll get a fair shake. And we’ll win in the Supreme Court, just like the ban.”"

Will Tweety get a "Grand Slam" and take all otherwise separated powers - the Congress and the Supreme Curt powers?

The President is a pathological liar, and a fool.  Yes, Obama "lied" too, and I am upset he did so, while Obama's lies certainly do not have the spin of Trump's lies.  Obama, simply put, never lied in the thousands like Trump has.  Trump lies in the thousands.

All Presidents lie, and it seems supporters like it when their "guy" (person) lies.  Voters like liars.

"“I Didn’t Need to Do This”: Donald Trump Declares a National Emergency"

Did President Trump just say he did this project on a whim?  This train wreck of a President doesn't help anyone with his "emergency."  It's a campaign promise.  Then later, he says he knows this will be decided in the courts.

"Will the Supreme Court stop Trump's national emergency?"
By Priscilla Alvarez, CNN   Updated 5:59 PM ET, Fri February 15, 2019

President Trump will say the courts are "rigged" if he loses in court and doe snot get his Wall, or the money.  His end run around Congress will have been stopped by the Supreme Court.

"Trump says he expects the Supreme Court to uphold his national emergency declaration after presumptive losses in lower courts"
  -  President Donald Trump said on Friday that he anticipated his national emergency declaration would be rejected by multiple federal courts but ultimately upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.
  -  "They will sue us in the 9th Circuit, even though it shouldn't be there, and we will possibly get a bad ruling, and then we will get another bad ruling, and then we will end up in the Supreme Court," Trump said.
  -  Good-governance groups have already promised litigation over the president's declaration, which he has said is necessary on national security grounds.

We will soon find out if the Supreme Court belongs to President Trump to do his bidding.  They might say "technically," therefore according to the "law," President Trump can call this Wall a "National Emergency."

It is sad, but possible a judge will rule on Trump's side.  Then we can kiss our Constituent good-bye..

God help our country if any Supreme Court belongs to any President.  Separation of the three Branches of Government has a purpose, checks and balances.

Seriously, how can anyone trust President Trump's judgement?

The President of the United States is pressing the Supreme Court Justices to abridge their obligation to the Constitution and the welfare of our country to OBEY HIM!

"‘Finish that wall’: Trump seeks to turn his failure to build the wall into campaign rallying cry"

Wow!  Let's see how foolish Trump supporters are to believe he has built a lto of his promised Wall!  This will be telling.  "Finish the Wall!"  lol!

"“Now, you really mean, ‘Finish that wall,’ because we’ve built a lot of it,” Trump falsely claimed at a campaign rally Monday in El Paso after supporters broke out in chants of “Build that wall!”

As he spoke, giant placards with the words “Finish the Wall” hung from the rafters, an unmistakable signal Trump’s aides say reflects the campaign’s growing push to convince the president’s supporters that the border barrier they imagined him building is already real."

He undermines his own credibility and despite his best Hitler / Joseph Goebbels act, modern times make these lies impossible to push over on intelligent, connected people.

"A big lie (German: große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously". Hitler believed the technique was used by Jews to blame Germany's loss in World War I on German general Erich Ludendorff, who was a prominent nationalist and antisemitic political leader in the Weimar Republic. "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_lie

"“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”"

"Trump’s border emergency: Democrats vow to fight ‘phony’ declaration"

If our President does not figure out a way to unite us, we will have a bumpy 2-6 years ahead, and in the end we will have probably given up our leading role in this world.  Every "Empire" declines.  It's our turn.

We'll survive, but the changes in how our government operates are not good for what we call "Democracy."

I seriously wish we could shrink the federal government by 50%.

Historically, America has been thru bad times - the '60s for example - riots - we've had times as acrimonious with even more tribalism in my opinion, under Nixon & LBJ (Viet Nam), some under Bush (6 pardons of Iran Contra criminals), Clinton, Bush (Iraq fiasco), Obama, Reagan, name another six . . . .

President Trump is going to try out a President's powers, pull 1/3 DoD construction budget (that is gong to hurt tremendously as those projects are hell to get planned and approved - very tedious), and funds planned for particular, well thought purposes like perhaps replacing lost fighter jects from the hurricanes, approved by Congress thru the normal appropriations process.

Could the next test of emergency powers be from Democratically elected President?  Dems are bound to get in eventually.  Any of these could become the next "national emergency" - the New Green Deal, Climate Change, Gun Control, Voter Rights / Voting Day a National Holiday, or Planned Parenthood . . .
