Astounding hypocrisy by Jeffy boy . . . Jeff Sessions is one of those so-called "Christians" that is not truly a Christian and he cannot be trusted. A Christian liar, how novel!
"Jeff Sessions Met Twice With Russian Ambassador During Trump Campaign"

Never mind what Tweety tweets on how meeting in public is the same [what?] as meeting in private during a run for President campaign, he has an axe to grind, and besides that, it is a stupid analogy to say Sessions had a donut with the Russian Ambassador. But if Tweety wants, we can investigate THAT meeting too, Who knows what Sessions said back then? Maybe Sessions was betraying America even then?
"Sessions ‘Not Sure’ If Secular Americans Understand Truth"
January 10, 2017 by Michael Stone 51 Comments
"Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions is “not sure” if a secular person understand the truth as well as a religious person.
At Sessions’ confirmation hearing earlier today, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) asked the Attorney General nominee if he believes a secular person has the same understanding of the truth as a religious individual.
Sessions replied:
"Well, I’m not sure."
Sessions’ answer is alarming.
No, Jeff Session's reply is AMAZINGLY SELF_CENTERED, and STUPID!
"As an afterthought, after saying he was “not sure” if secular people understand the truth as well as religious people, Sessions added:
We’re going to treat anybody with different views fairly and objectively.
While this nod towards fairness may placate some, the fact is Sessions is indicating that secular views are “different views” – the implication being that these secular views are different from (and inferior to) Christian views.
This is not the first time Sessions has denigrated people holding secular views. In a notorious incident last June Sessions insulted Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor for having a “secular mindset.”
At the time Sessions argued that Justice Sotomayor’s “secular mindset” was “directly contrary to the founding of our republic.” Such a remark indicates Sessions does not understand or respect the secular values upon which the nation was founded."
I doubt Jeff Sessions will treat everyone fairly or equally.
A Senator for as long as Sessions was one KNOWs the questions, and prepares COMPLETE answers. No excuse for Sessions. He outright lied. Sessions has been through many confirmation hearings. He knows the drill and he blew it UNDER OATH; that is perjury, and it is a felony.
The standard is willful, intentional, so a judge has to believe Sessions was just forgetful, perhaps sloppy answer to the question of meeting with any Russian officials, like the Russian Ambassador. I guess we have to "believe me" when Sessions say he didn't understand the question.
No judge will let him off the hook.
This is no tempest in a teapot. Talking to Russian officials DURING Trump's campaign for President AS A REPUBLICAN representativeness using campaign funds.

"Jeff Sessions Didn’t Tell Al Franken The Truth."
Now Franken Has Some New Questions. Why didn’t the attorney general come clean before he was caught, and what did he talk about with the Russians?

"WASHINGTON ― When Jeff Sessions told Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) under oath that he had not talked to any Russians during the Trump campaign, Franken hadn’t even asked him if he had.
Franken was just trying to find out what Sessions would do as attorney general if reports that emerged on Jan. 10 were true. The reports said there was frequent contact between Donald Trump’s campaign surrogates and Russian government intermediaries.
Sessions never said what he would do, but he did exonerate himself.
“I’m not aware of any of those activities,” Sessions told Franken, with just a hint of a proud smile. “I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign, and I did not have communications with the Russians, and I’m unable to comment on it.”"
"But that was not true. Sessions met with Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in his Senate office in September while the Obama administration was cranking up sanctions. He met Kislyak again in July, reportedly on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention.
Sessions said Thursday as he recused himself from any role in investigating the Russian attempts to influence the elections that he did not recall if he discussed politics with Kislyak, but that diplomats can be “gossipy.”"
