Love is not based on what is between our legs, but rather what is between our ears!

Religion and "doctors" who try to eradicate love, and "fix" gay people and the false "Gods" of hate and disrespect.

"Bill Nye Used A Colorful Analogy To Criticize Gay Conversion Therapy, Leaving Homophobes Fuming"

"Bill Nye’s new show on Netflix Bill Nye Saves the World doesn’t have an agenda beyond the advocacy of science and scientific methods, but recent reaction shows homophobes took his message very personally following a colorful and clever animated cartoon that shows the ridiculousness of gay conversion therapy.

"Bill Nye Uses Ice Cream Cones to Disprove Conversion Therapy"
There are many "flavors" to sexuality.

"There's no scientific evidence that conversion therapy, which the Human Rights Campaign explains as "a range of dangerous and discredited practices that falsely claim to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity or expression," can change someone's sexuality. In fact, more than 10 top medical associations, including The American Psychological Association and The American Medical Association, have denounced conversion therapy, calling it a harmful and ineffective practice that aims to treat something that isn't a disorder or problem that needs fixing. Yet, the practice still exists and some are even in favor of it. That's where Bill Nye the Science Guy comes in.

Here Nye's conclusion that the homophobes want to bash by saying he is promoting orgies and other crap.  It shows how eager the "religious" fools are to push their form of torture and demeaning tactics on gays and call it "conversion therapy."

""It's the science of feelings. And as vanilla, I feel that I am the most natural of the ice creams. And therefore, the rest of you should just go ahead and also be vanilla," vanilla says. "It's the one true flavor."

But as Bill Nye explains, there are many "flavors" to sexuality, and telling one cone to flip their flavor because you feel like yours is better isn't quite right. It's also not possible. See, if a cone is mint chocolate chip, you can't just will it to actually be vanilla. That's a whole separate flavor. In the video, the salted caramel cone drops some real knowledge.

"No one can make you stop being strawberry, strawberry," salted caramel explains to a distraught strawberry. "You're strawberry.""

"US government calls for an end to LGBT ‘conversion therapy’"
Feds and American Psychological Association say trying to change sexual orientation or gender identity harms youths

Religion, especially of the Evangelical sort in America, which fears and loathes homosexuals and lesbians, the LGBTQ community in general, is immoral itself as it persecutes people who love each other.

Why does ANY religion have to teach that gay love is a sin or worse?  Why?  Why can't religions accept that love is love.  Love does not come with a sex, it comes with caring passionately for another human being, PERIOD.

"If gay doesn't define you

You Don't Have to be Gay"  [Incredible!  Why do people like this gy see "gay" as a pathology, physical or psychological, in the first place?  It is not a disease and if a person loves someone, not just "lusts" for someone, what is the disease?  AND what is in this for you to try to "correct" "gay-ness" or being different?]

"It’s been widely discredited as unethical and ineffective, yet ex-gay therapy is still prevalent across the US . . . "

It is religion that keeps this torture legal.  No surprise, right?   Then there are a few nutty psychologists.  No surprise there either.  Religion and psychology does not determine who we fall in love with.

"How Christians Turned Against Gay Conversion Therapy"
Obama's call to ban the practice reflects a tectonic shift within the community that once championed it.

"Conversion therapy"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversion_therapy

"Conversion therapy is the pseudoscientific practice of trying to change an individual's sexual orientation using psychological or spiritual interventions. There is virtually no reliable evidence that sexuality can be controlled or changed and medical bodies warn that conversion therapy practices are ineffective and potentially seriously harmful. Nevertheless, advocates and proponents do provide anecdotal reports of so-called "ex-gays" who claim some degree of success in becoming heterosexual.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] Medical, scientific, and government organizations in the United States and United Kingdom have expressed concern over conversion therapy and consider it potentially harmful.[8][9][10][11][12][13] Various legal jurisdictions in Asia, Europe, and the Americas have passed laws against conversion therapy.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) opposes psychiatric treatment "based upon the assumption that homosexuality per se is a mental disorder or based upon the a priori assumption that a patient should change his/her sexual homosexual orientation"[8] and describes attempts to change sexual orientation by practitioners as unethical.[6] It also states that debates over the integration of gay and lesbian people have obscured science "by calling into question the motives and even the character of individuals on both sides of the issue"[8] and that the advancement of conversion therapy may cause social harm by disseminating unscientific views about sexual orientation.[9] United States Surgeon General David Satcher in 2001 issued a report stating that "there is no valid scientific evidence that sexual orientation can be changed".[14]

The highest-profile advocates of conversion therapy today tend to be fundamentalist Christian groups and other organizations which use a religious justification for the therapy rather than speaking of homosexuality as "a disease".[4] The main organization advocating secular forms of conversion therapy is the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), which often partners with religious groups.[4]"
