When did we lose the idea of helping prisoners reform, repent, recover. Must we make it impossible for a convicted criminal to regain a normal life? For profits to grow and grow and grow, the Prison Industry does not want criminals to reform.
Prison Industry in the US - it is there to make profits for "businesses," self-interested, and NOT out to achieve justice for anyone.

See You Tube Ted Talk on White Privilege.
White Privilege elegantly explained - why committing a crime should not mean you are tainted for life, or imprisoned in the "Criminal college" of a maximum security prison, or get a long prison term that does not realistically match the crime, or be made poor by the bail system that is "for profit", or outcast by society.
It is true, if you commit a crime you have to be willing to pay the price. But is the criminal code fair, and is the sentence fair, and is justice served, and is society made better by the system of justice in America's "Prison Industry?"
