Are the GOP Senators crazy! Duplicitous they are! Is Nikki Haley a bad lawyer or intentionally twisting the law to fit the crime, or twisting the crime to fit the law? The law is the law whether you are successful committing the crime or not!
If you tried to kill someone, rob a bank, blow up a mosque, or commit mass murder, and get caught before you can commit the crime, YOU BROKE THE LAW, YOU GO O JAIL!
The GOP Senators are too much! They have offered several excuses, each one a new, novel including Tweety Trump is too incompetent to be impeached. . . It's so amazing, and now the Senators besides saying they will not read the transcripts, they will not attend the PUBLIC impeachment hearings! The GOP refuses to do what is essential to defend Tweety, funny!
The GOP position is VERY confusing to me since a week ago the GOP did not want "secret" hearings, and they wanted to see transcripts of all the testimony inside those closed rooms (where many Republicans were sitting . . . so it is NOT true that the Republicans knew nothing of the testimony inside those closed hearings.), then they changed their minds on both accounts!
This week Lindsay Graham said he will not read the transcripts, Ostrich-like, and several the GOP Senators have announced they will not attend when the Democrats announced PUBIC HEARINGS!

"Sen. Richard Shelby who was in office for former President Clinton’s impeach trial, said he wouldn’t be watching the hearings and that doing so “could prejudice my view” once the case reaches the Senate.
“I wouldn’t want to see that,” he said, specifying that during the Clinton trial he “waited to hear the evidence that came before the Senate.”
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman (R-S.C.) added that he also wouldn’t be watching, calling the House process a “sham.”
“It’s being driven by political people,” he said. “I think this is a bunch of crap in the House.”
GOP Sens. Marco Rubio Marco Antonio Rubio (Fla.) and Joni Ernst Joni Kay Ernst (Iowa) both said they had their own work to do. The Senate will be in session on Wednesday when the first public hearings take place.
“They’re selectively leaking out different documents and it’s hard to follow what they’re doing,” Ernst added about House Democrats.
Sen. Mitt Romney Willard (Utah), who has emerged as a leading GOP critic of Trump’s, said he hadn’t finalized his calendar, but that he expected that at some point he would do his homework on the House’s findings.
“I certainly anticipate that when the time comes I will give this a very thorough dedication and evaluation,” Romney said, adding that he hadn’t read any of the deposition transcripts."
These GOP Senators are scary confused, creating so many excuses for Tweety Trump's offenses they trip over themselves! The next excuse will be the dog ate my homework!
