If I thought Tweety Twump understood NATO, I might think he is being smart to, as has been asked many times before, ask NATO Member countries, all 24, to pay their fair share of the cost of maintaining NATO. This has been addressed many time sbeofre Tweety brought it up. "Believe me!" lol
BUT, I am CERTAIN Tweety Twump is talking through his a**, He does not know ANYTHING about NATO to make him a credible intellect on the alliance.
Saturday Night Live has Tweety Twump squarely in its sights. SNL knows Tweety well, and they know him as a bumbling fool.
SNL knows Tweety better than Tweety knows Tweety. lol
South Park also got Tweety Twump right, and his apparent nostalgia for what America was in the '50s even though he has no idea how regular people lived then.
William Blum may not like this message, but US aid to Europe was not entirely to 'colonized" Europe.
I grew up in Germany 1955-1958. My father was a US Army Major. We were always concerned about Russian tanks coming down the autobahn. My father went on maneuvers frequently to practice the defense of German and Europe against Russia.
William Blum thinks only of what the US wanted from Germany, and he is at least partly right. The World and the US did not want a THIRD World War with Germany.
William Blum thinks the US presence in Germany was to colonize and to take over Europe, but if that were true, we did a great job also building German and Europe to "better than before" condition. That's not a bad thing Mr. Blum.
It is so SNL "Debbie Downer" like to only think of the motives to rebuild Germany as a consoiracy. There's a lot of good that comes from "selfish" motive Mr. Blum.
"Rebuilding the world after the second world war "
As many as 60 million dead, great cities reduced to rubble, families torn apart ... The second world war caused unprecedented hardship, but it also accelerated change. By Margaret MacMillan

"During the war, millions more had fled their homes or been forcibly moved to work in Germany or Japan or, in the case of the Soviet Union, because Stalin feared that they might be traitors. Now, in 1945, another new word appeared, the DP, or "displaced person". There were millions of them, some voluntary refugees moving westward in the face of the advancing Red Army, others deported as undesirable minorities. The newly independent Czech state expelled nearly 3 million ethnic Germans in the years after 1945, and Poland a further 1.3 million. Everywhere there were lost or orphaned children, 300,000 alone in Yugoslavia. Thousands of unwanted babies added to the misery. It is impossible to know how many women in Europe were raped by the Red Army soldiers, who saw them as part of the spoils of war, but in Germany alone some 2 million women had abortions every year between 1945 and 1948."
I loved "Ike", Gen and President Eisenhower. Tweety grew up in a sheltered "estate" in the '50s so has no idea what the times were like and does not understand that Communism is a direct threat to US Democracy.
