"Republican lawmakers distance themselves from Trump on memo"

"Calling on Trump not to interfere in Mueller’s investigation, four Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee dismissed on Sunday the idea that the memo’s criticism of how the FBI handled certain surveillance applications undermines the special counsel’s work. Reps. Trey Gowdy (S.C.), Chris Stewart (Utah), Will Hurd (Tex.) and Brad Wenstrup (Ohio) represented the committee on the morning political talk shows.

Gowdy, who helped draft the memo, said Trump should not fire Rosenstein, and he rejected the idea that the document has a bearing on the investigation."

“I actually don’t think it has any impact on the Russia probe,” Gowdy, who also chairs the House Oversight Committee, said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

Stewart, arguing that the two are “very separate” issues, said Mueller should be allowed to finish his work. “This memo, frankly, has nothing at all to do with the special counsel,” he told “Fox News Sunday.”"

There is a cartoon depicting a liberal with blood shot eyes protesting Trump's election win, saying no to Trump.  It indicates "liberals" are sore losers.  "You lost.  Get over it."  The cartoon implies Trump will save our democracy.

Wrong!  Tweety is trying to undermine our Democracy," for his "Trumpocracy."

The cartoon is wrong, obviously, VERY OBVIOUSLY, but conservatives and political whores in Congress, and witnessing a year of White House chaos, no foreign policy, and empty State Department, and minor successes in signing Executive Orders, and getting tax reform passed, among MANY failures, and many, MANY (>2,000) lies, do not recognize the cracks in our democracy Tweety has created.

The GOP is complicit is devolving our democracy, and does not want to believe their "Dear Leader" is destroying their democracy, LITERALLY doing Russia's work for them.

The GOP and conservatives that support Trump STILL think protesting Tweety's election is sour grapes.  We are trying to warn you guys!

They are like frogs being boiled in a pot of water.  Slowly Tweety will destroy their way of life unti they figuratively boil.

THAT is the problem with Trump supporters and the GOP political whores who enable Tweety to undermine our democracy.

Laughable content, a "nothing burger" as Fox News would say if they had any integrity,

Politically motivated, TRIBAL extremism, undermines US security.

"Reading Between the Lines of the Devin Nunes Memo"

"Ultimately, the memo doesn't amount to anything near the bombshell Nunes and other House Republicans hyped it as. It does, though, make public information that law enforcement officials consider extremely confidential, in a way that seems engineered to intentionally mislead. Releasing the memo will likely sow distrust between intelligence agencies and potential sources, and serves to widen the gulf between the White House and the law enforcement community."

"The Nunes Memo Undermines the Right’s Trump-Russia Conspiracy Theory"

"The memo that Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee released to Fox News and the Washington Examiner on Friday morning—everyone else had to wait until noon—is four pages long. Its authors should have stopped at three pages, though, because the fourth serves only to undermine the entire theory of the case that Donald Trump and his supporters have been peddling for weeks now, which is that the Russia investigation is a partisan hit job engineered by the Hillary Clinton campaign, the Obama Administration, and anti-Trump elements inside the F.B.I."

Here's the key element.

". . . we can say two things. First, the F.B.I. and the Justice Department didn’t base their application to monitor Page entirely on Steele’s work. And, second, and more important, the Trump-Russia investigation didn’t begin with the Steele dossier. These two facts are there in that lonely paragraph on the fourth page of the Nunes memo. This is how it begins: “The Page FISA application also mentions information regarding fellow Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, but there is no evidence of any cooperation or conspiracy between Page and Papadopoulos. The Papadopoulos information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016 by FBI agent Peter Strzok.” In other words, the Trump-Russia probe began with an investigation of Papadopoulos, a young foreign-policy aide to the Trump campaign, who last year pleaded guilty to lying to the F.B.I. A Times story in December provided basically the same account, but this isn’t a newspaper report: it is an official memo written by congressional staff members quoting a secret F.B.I. court filing. Far from confirming the conspiracy theory promoted by Trump, Hannity, and Fitton, the Nunes memo contradicts a central element of it."

Ooops, Nunes goofed.  Page was of interest since 2013, long before the dossier was revealed.

Obvious intent,

Insipid (unimaginative, uninspiring),

STUPID!  STUPID!

And Tweety can mess with our democracy anyway if GOP political whores allow him to do so.

"The real reason the Nunes memo matters"
There’s a threat to American democracy.

"“Trump is shockingly overt about believing that the problem here is that the FBI is staffed by loyalists to the wrong person,” says Julian Sanchez, an expert on the intelligence community at the libertarian Cato Institute. “He does, in fact, seem to think that the job of the DOJ, and the FBI, and the rest of the intelligence community is to protect the president and follow his orders — including going after his political enemies based on stuff he saw on Fox News, if that’s what he wants to do.”"

Is it Nunes intent to undermine American democracy?  That is definitely Tweety's intent, whether Tweety recognizes what his "self" is up to or not.

"How does this end?
There are two broad ways this war could go. In the first, the FBI is brought to heel. Rosenstein and the other senior FBI executives are fired and replaced with more Trump-friendly appointees. The Mueller investigation is quashed, and the bureau essentially serves more like an arm of the Trump administration than a quasi-independent agency.

The implications of this scenario for American democracy are pretty scary."

Well . . .

"“This particular president advances when he senses weakness,” Goodman says. “The critical factor is the will of many [Will any GOP stand up?  Lindsay?  Nope.  McCain is alone I think, and he will die soon.  Sad!]  Republicans to stand up.”"

NO!  What is sacred is the rule of law in America, the TRUE AND MORAL RULE OF LAW,  TWEETY wants to undermine the truly sacred rule of law in America by trickery, lies and deception and Americans need to rise up against this evil man.

Americans need to stop being fools.  Congress needs to stop, especially the GOP, being political whores kowtowing to this would-be autocrat!

Trying to dishonor the FBI and the Justice Department is criminal at best, obstructing justice, the Russia investigation, and Tweety is a trained Russian puppet operative conducting treason at worst.

Fox News reaction to the "nothing burger" Nunes memo is classic, and aids and abets the criminal in the White House!

Tweety has no soul.  Essentially nothing is sacred to him, but his reflection in the mirror.  He uses "sacred" for evil purposes.

Tweety uses the word "sacred" to make people think he means it.  He does not mean sacred like we mean sacred.

"Did Trump just reveal the real reason this memo was written?"

"Republican leaders in Congress have one main defense for releasing a controversial memo on the FBI's Russia investigation: It reveals mistakes and even bias at the FBI, not with the separate, independent special counsel investigation set up by the Justice Department.

The memo, said House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday, isn't “an indictment of the FBI, of the Department of Justice.”

Apparently President Trump didn't get that memo. In one tweet Friday morning, Trump publicly undermined Ryan's argument that the memo doesn't equal an attack on the FBI, Justice Department or the special counsel investigating Trump.

This memo will actually prove political bias in all of those places, Trump suggested:

The top Leadership and Investigators of the FBI and the Justice Department have politicized the sacred investigative process in favor of Democrats and against Republicans - something which would have been unthinkable just a short time ago. Rank & File are great people!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 2, 2018

Trump appears to be setting the narrative for what will happen later in the day, when House Republicans release the classified memo against objections from the FBI, the Justice Department and Democrats. Basically, everyone in Washington except the president and congressional Republicans don't want the memo released because, they say, it's politically biased, inaccurate, will expose sourcing methods, or all three.

Trump brushes those concerns off in this tweet by claiming it's the other guys who are against him. The “investigative process” is “politicized” against him, Trump says, pointing the finger directly at the top of the FBI and Justice Department.

The inclusion of the Justice Department in Trump's tweet is significant."

More of Tweety;s hopes . . .

"Reporting from the White House, my excellent Washington Post colleagues have a behind-the-scenes look at how the memo got released that corroborates all of this (my emphasis added in bold):

Trump told aides and confidants he believed the memo would vindicate his claim early last year that the expansive Russia investigation overseen by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III was a “witch hunt.” He had long expressed frustration, both publicly and privately, with his Department of Justice and, specifically, Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, who is supervising Mueller’s work.

The president said he thought the release of the memo would help build a public argument against Rosenstein’s handling of the case, according to people familiar with the discussions. Trump suggested to aides and confidants that the memo might give him the justification to fire Rosenstein — something about which Trump has privately mused — or make other changes at the Justice Department, which he had complained was not sufficiently loyal to him."

Sacred?  Money is sacred to Tweety.  Gold is sacred to Tweety.  Iranian, his daughter, is sacred to Tweety.

Humans are not sacred to Tweety!

GOP supporters are political whores, giving their "Dear Leader" any "happy ending" he wants.  The GOP is essentially enabling Tweety to rape this country for their agenda.
