Santa denier upsets Hannity; concerns Trump might crap on GHWB funeral upsets Ingraham? These Fax "stalker" extremists are truly unhinged!
All wrong, Hannity and Fox's Laura Ingram ("Trump-ish" before Trump).
Demagoguery! Fear monger and conspiracy fools.
Tolerance for experts and for common funeral praising of a deceased are NOT on Fox agenda this year I guess.
Hannity might be giggling about his Santa Defense, but he looked childish to me. It was a joke segment, intended or not. The lady Santa Defender Hannity brought on to debate Santa's realness called the doctor an atheist for some reason.
"Sorry Sean Hannity, the Truth About Santa Isn’t “Fake News”
And teachers telling students the truth doesn't violate religious rights.

"Although I work on many topics, I am perhaps most famous for my arguments that parents shouldn’t lie to their children about Santa. Yesterday, the producers of Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News flirted with the idea of having me on to talk about an incident in New Jersey where a substitute teacher revealed (to first graders) the truth about Santa, Elf on a Shelf, The Easter Bunny and a few other myths after a “writing lesson gone astray.” "A student had written that Santa is real.” the school’s principal said. “She [the teacher] felt compelled, somehow, to tell a student that Santa is not real,” and then the whole thing got out of control. Hannity’s producers (who couldn’t have been nicer) ended up not asking me to be on the show, but I ended up watching the segment anyway—and their analysis ended up raising a number of questions to my mind."
Hannity had an opportunity to talk about facts, truth, and honest concerns in the psychology area, and some in the religious arena as well. Hannity chose to belittle his Fox platform, as he often does, a missed opportunity AGAIN, to trivialize serious topics, like telling the truth to your kids.
So Hannity was handed the task of standing in for the departed Megan Kelly on Fox to defend Santa Claus as a real person, a gift giving wonder, and possibly part of a religious idea - but Santa is non-religious, we all know. At least Hannity did not insist Santa is white, and Jesus is white too!
BTW, Sean H., to repeat, Santa is NOT A RELIGIOUS ICON NOR IS HE "LIKE" ANYTHING RELIGIOUS!
Jesus was born on Christmas eve, that birth is the reason for religion at Christmas, NOT Santa!
Here's what the psychologist could have shared with the nation on Hannity's show, BUT THAT HANNITY DID NOT WANT TO HER OR SHARE BECAUSE IT WASN'T INFLAMMATORY OR EXCITING - TOO FACTUAL AND HONEST AND BORING! Hannity avoids boring at a cost, but he wins in the end because, sadly, people in general, all over the world, including Americans, like to hate on "OTHERS." It's called "OTHERISM," look it up.
"Is the Santa Lie (Like) a Religious Doctrine?
In condemnation of this teacher’s actions, the commentators on Hannity’s show insisted that the teacher had no right to do what she did because it was “putting [her] personal beliefs into the classroom.” [A VERY illogical argument! Stupid in fact!] If the parent’s personal beliefs are that “Santa is real” then the teacher has no right to contradict that belief. “It’s like religion [No, it is not like religion in any way! Neither is the Easter Bunny!]. You don’t bring these things up in a classroom.” The teacher’s belief system should not “supersede” that of the parents.
But the parent’s personal belief is not that Santa is real. (If they believed that Santa was real there would be no gifts under their tree because they would rely on Santa to supply them.) They, of course, know that Santa is not real. (I can’t believe I have to point that out.) [1] The parent’s personal belief is that the child should believe in Santa—and that they should be lied to so as to keep that belief going. That is not a religious belief, nor is it like one."
Do you see, folks? Hannity doesn't want a boring show so he hypes crap. Buy his crap if you want, like going to a Trump Rally, but do not try to say Hannity seeks truth.
The psychologist had more good and useful points to share that Hannity avoided with his childish fervor for stupidity.
"The Solution Is Not “School Choice”
One of Hannity’s commentators, Rachel Campos-Duffy, suggest that the solution to this little problem is “school choice.” If a school is not responding to what “the parents want”—if they are not teaching them what the parents want their children to be taught—the parents should be able to just pull them out and put them in a school that does. On the surface, this sounds nice—but in reality, it is a terrifying suggestion that would not only be unconstitutional, but detrimental to our education system.
It’s unconstitutional because it is grounded in an effort to promote a school voucher system, where parents would essentially receive a certain amount of government money to spend on a child’s education and could spend that money at whatever school they want. But since parents could (and many would) spend that money on schools that, for example, not only teach six-day creationism, and that the universe is only 6000 years old—but also that Jesus is God, and that abortion is wrong, etc.—this system would, in effect, allow taxpayer money to be spent on religious indoctrination. And this is contrary to The First Amendment which clearly states that the government should pass no law that respects any religious establishment. (For more on this, see the Colorado Supreme Court ruling on this matter.)
To boot, “vaccine truthers” would start sending their kids to “anti-vaxxer” schools, climate change deniers would send their kids to “global-warming-skeptic” schools, alternative medicine fanatics would send their kids to “alternative medical schools”—a whole litany of “anti-science” schools would pop up"
Many will argue about the teacher telling the kids the truth, and that's OK. The psychologist is just telling us there is a risk in lies.
Now Fox News and Laura Ingraham.
Then there is George H. W. Bush's funeral. A normal funeral for a President, and normal funeral for the praise given. We always bring up good things at funerals to deal with the loss and pain, don't we? When did we go to a funeral where anyone said bad things about the deceased?
Laura and others on Fox News felt like the praise and fond memories expressed for the deceased George Bush at his funeral were a criticism of Trump. Some liberals were worried about Trump going to the funeral, and some liberals would not have invited Trump. Trump was nasty toward the deceased Bush.
Fox reported that everyone hated GW until he died, which is not true. GWHB Bush did some things people did not like, like raise taxes. Fox needs to say this bit about not liking Bush so they can argue the good words are a critique of Trump. Fox knows GWHB was 100% opposite Trump in every way so the real truth is THEY ARE EMBARRASED FOR THEIR SUPPORT OF TRUMP!
In the case of Fox, e.g., Laura Ingram (she brings up "class" as though she knows what it is), she forgets the last funeral she went to because it is 100% NORMAL to say good things and humorous things about the deceased at their funeral! NORMAL!
The funeral commentary included reference to GHWB's weak points, he was not perfect, but he was kind and smart and willing to hear opposing views and change his mind. What is wrong with saying these things at a funeral?
Why is Trump even mentioned if not for the fact all his supporters know he is not any of the things GHWB was, especially kind and decent, with a sense of humor.
"Laura Ingraham was 'Trump before Trump,' but is she made for TV?"

"Even as she's climbed the ranks in Washington, Ingraham has maintained her connection with loyal listeners, who, like her, want to stick it to the establishment. She is a member of the East Coast media elite but says she wants to speak for the "heartland."
In that way, she's similar to President Donald Trump - a billionaire born into wealth who has positioned himself as champion of the working man. Like Trump, who lived in a gilded Manhattan tower before the White House, Ingraham sees no irony in enjoying the trappings of D.C. success while flouting the conventions of "political correctness.""
Here we are again, a fake populist telling her followers she loves 'em, and being nasty and a hypocrite is the best way to represent 'em. And, sadly, the middle class buys here schtick.
"On a recent Thursday night, friends turned out to toast Ingraham's new book, "Billionaire at the Barricades: The Populist Revolution From Reagan to Trump." The party was held at the Capitol Hill rowhouse that serves as a headquarters for Breitbart News, the conservative website, and a seat of power for its chairman Steve Bannon, the former White House strategist now attempting to lead a nationalist revolt within the Republican Party."
Nasty is the formula for success as it appeals to Americans, a sad commentary on our culture, stoking the "Culture War."
"
During the Obama years, she railed against most everything he did. And she was an early proponent of Trumpism - an anti-immigration, tax-slashing America Firster who opposed big trade deals and international organizations such as the United Nations because, as she proclaims in her new book, they "take power out of the hands of the voters and give it to a far-away and often hostile global elite.""She was Trump before Trump," said Brian Rosenwald, an instructor at the University of Pennsylvania who is writing a book about talk radio's impact on politics and public policy.
Ingraham, the only woman in the top tier of conservative talk radio, has mastered the rhythm of the medium, he said. She and her producers use funny sound effects and toss off derisive nicknames - John F. Kerry as "Lurch" from "The Addams Family." To drive home her restrictive views of immigration, she'll reframe a mainstream media story about an immigrant as an "illegal immigration sob story.""
OK, got it. You are all about "Class," Laura "Ingrate."
