I'm stunned at the stupidity of Katie Pavlich on Fox "Outnumbered" Friday, 4 Jan 2019. Her commentary and advice on the equal pay for equal work was idiotic, brain-dead, DOA!
"Equal pay for equal work"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_pay_for_equal_work
"Equal pay for equal work[1] is the concept of labor rights that individuals in the same workplace be given equal pay.[1] It is most commonly used in the context of sexual discrimination, in relation to the gender pay gap. Equal pay relates to the full range of payments and benefits, including basic pay, non-salary payments, bonuses and allowances. Some countries have moved faster than others in addressing the problem. Since President John F. Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act of 1963, it has been illegal in the United States to pay men and women working in the same place different salaries for similar work."
Katie Pavlich does not know the Government law, and is either Dog Whistling for her Fox News employers so they get attention, or she is stupid.
On Fox "Outnumbered." 4 Jan 2019, Katie Pavlich, in a red dress on the right end of the couch, facing the TV screen, showed she has no idea what the argument is or issue is with equal pay for equal work is about.
This notion mostly applies to lower level jobs, not senior level jobs, because pay for senor level jobs typically are negotiated in detail by the employee before she starts work.
If women are doing the same job, holding the same sort of position as a man, in the same job, and doing it right, she deserves the same pay! PERIOD! Men do not deserve more pay just because they are men.
Women ask for equal pay for equal work, not equal pay if I work more hours, or do more work! Katie says go get a new job or work more hours!
Katie, this notion mostly applies to lower level jobs, not senior level jobs, because pay for senor level jobs typically are negotiated in detail by the employee before she starts work.
I was shocked! Fox no doubt does not pay equal pay for the same work.
But apparently Katie Pavlich-the-nut-case has been on the wrong side of this issue for a while, at least since 2014 if not longer.
"Liberal Hypocrisy on Equal Pay For Women Strikes Again"
Katie Pavlich Posted: May 15, 2014
"Yesterday the New York Times announced Executive Editor Jill Abramson has been fired and is being replaced with NYT Managing Editor Dean Baquet. Abramson was the first woman to hold the top job at the NYT and was in the position for just under three years. For years the NYT has published op-ed after op-ed berating Americans for paying women less than men (a false argument), but it turns out Abramson was significantly underpaid compared to her male equivalents."
So Katie, you just made the point FOR equal pay! Where are you going to spin this to get to a conservative, twisted, idiotic, misogynistic viewpoint?
". . . screeching liberals have told us we aren't allowed to consider qualification, work hours, employment history, etc. when it comes to pay differences between employees, specifically between men and women."
So, if a woman asks for equal pay for the same job coming in, they need to "screech?" Come on Katie, do you have you head up your nether regions? Think? YOU ARE MAKING AN ASSUMPTION THE MAJORITY OF WOMEN IN JOBS MEN HELD HAVE TO MAKE A SPECIAL DEFENSE FOR EQUAL (EQUAL, NOT MORE) PAY?
Katie, you are full of crap to say "liberals" are trying to get equal pay for LESS work!
". . . liberals have told us we aren't allowed to consider qualification, work hours, employment history, etc. when it comes to pay differences . . . "
Not true! Katie, you speak falsehoods. you are speaking foolish, self-serving crap.
Katie, this is not a screeching liberal or a calm liberal notion. This is an INDEPENDENT, OBJECTIVE, NONSEXIST notion that to start a job, a woman deserve the same benefits and equal pay as a man for the same job!
Discounting a poor negotiations for pay, equal pay for the same job is a slam dunk!
Katie, YOU are the "screeching" one, and do not understand the complaint. Go to your couch and try again.
Katie, this is not a liberal notion, it is a notion mostly applies to every woman notwithstanding her politics, and applies mostly to lower level jobs, not senior level jobs, because pay for senor level jobs typically are negotiated in detail by the employee before she starts work.
Katie, do more research, and stop being the Dog Whistle lady.
Stop being the Dog Whistle lady Kattie.
Katie, you think people and women who want equal pay for equal work are arguing for more than they deserve do you?
Katie, you think women are not aware there are variables to work when asking for a job like

"The Simple Truth about the Gender Pay Gap"
https://www.aauw.org/research/the-simple-truth-about-the-gender-pay-gap/
"The gender pay gap is the gap between what men and women are paid. Most commonly, it refers to the median annual pay of all women who work full time and year-round, compared to the pay of a similar cohort of men. Other estimates of the gender pay gap are based on weekly or hourly earnings, or are specific to a particular group of women.
Formula - Earnings Ratio = women's median earnings / men's median earnings
No matter how you analyze it, the gender pay gap is real, persistent, and harmful to women’s economic security.
