Veterans fought wars to PROTECT the anthem and the flag VALUES, not the literal symbols of those values.

As reports of police overreach and brutality in the black community become more and more commonplace in mainstream news, many black people are feeling a strange combination of frustration and relief — relief because the shootings of unarmed citizens have become part of a national discussion, but frustration because, time and time again, we hear the same dismissive and deflective responses from white America:
“There must be more to the story.”
“If you people would just do what you’re told.”
“Cops have a hard job.”
“White people get shot too.”
“He was just another thug. Good riddance!”"
Racism runs deep and so does ignorance of what is racist.
Another racist bull shit thing white people say, and think is that when a black person protests "Black Lives Matter, the white person says "when a white person kills them" because somehow it is logical for them to think black people do not complain when black people kill black people.
The aspect about this crap that bothers me a lot is the idea white people think black people either do not care if blacks kill blacks, but whites also think blacks dislike police. Yep. Black people dislike it when police decide to be judge, jury in a traffic stop, then decide to be an executioner! White people are not killed in traffic stops ass hole!
