Rep. Omar is a Muslim so she is not allowed to object to the Israeli lobby, AIPAC?  Bull crap!

DO YOUR HOMEWORK FOLKS.  GET THE CONTEXT FOLKS.

President Trump will win in 2020 if Democrats eat their young and stay fragmented with no clear message going forward.  In fact, it already seems hopeless to me as the "Tower of Babbling Dem Candidates" run amok, not knowing what to do to win.

Rep Omar was doing her job and may have slighted Israel and Jewish people to degree in her tweet about money, but NOT when she asked why we allow the AIPAC to have so much power over US government policies.

If the people who say Omar was anti-Semitic listened to her entire speaking point, after the tweets, in a meeting with her constituents. SHE WAS NOT ANTI-SEMETIC, SHE WAS ANTI-LOBBYISTS!

Rep. Omar was NOT anti-Semitic!  Is not anti-Semitic.  BTW, she also does not follow Sharia religious Law, as the fake, former, loser Judge "Judy" says on Fox News, which Fox News properly apologized for.

In a like vein, while Chelsea Clinton was wrong to say Omar was anti-Semitic.  Chelsea failed to do her homework on this one.  Chelsea did NOT contribute to hate of Muslims in what she critiqued.  The New Zealand White Supremacist had been planning his murders long before Rep Omar even became a Rep.

Did Rep. Omar teach us all about judging others and about ugly tropes against peoples of all stripes?

Is criticism of Israel off limits?  No.  As long as the criticism is not prejudicial to Israel as a state, there is plenty to criticize.  A critique of lobbying US government policies is OK.

Democrats are nuts!  They eat their idea people like candy!  They hurt every hope they have to win a majority, or, God forbid, help bring sanity back to governing, and Congressional action.

What is a "slur?'  Questions of the sort asked by Rep. Omar are NOT "slurs" in any way, Rep. Eliot L. Engel (D-N.Y.), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.  You may have a Chairmanship, but kissing Israel's ring is not necessary or required of every citizen of the United States, sir.

Are Democrats afraid of Jews?  Are Democrats afraid of Israel?  Is this about poltical donations vs morality vs anti_Muslim?

"Top Democrat demands another apology from Rep. Ilhan Omar, accusing her of ‘a vile anti-Semitic slur’"

Is expressing concerns about lobbyists a forbidden topic, no discussion allowed?  When is influence peddling OK?

"Her latest comments came during a town hall in Washington while speaking about liberal issues. “I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country,” Omar said."

As I see it, Rep. Eliot L. Engel (D-N.Y.) has been the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee too long, so long he is blind to open dialogue on Israeli lobbying American government polities.

Rep. Omar's comments are not outrageous or harmful in any way, sir.  Bite your tongue Rep. Engel, and stop your hateful, anti-Muslim baiting.

CAUTION, SIR!  CAUTION!

You best listen before you open your mouth and leap into the fray Rep. Engel.  Rep. Omar was talking about lobbyists trying to change your mind on legislation, sir.

"Omar’s spokesman, Jeremy Slevin, told the Associated Press on Friday that the congresswoman expressed remorse about her comments in February but that “we must distinguish between criticism of a particular faith and fair critiques of lobbying groups.”

Just as earlier this month the congresswoman “only meant to target the pro-Israel lobby,” he said.

On Sunday, Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), when asked about Omar’s words on Fox News, said lawmakers need to be careful not to use anti-Semitic language.

“We need to make sure — on both sides — that everyone is being very careful,” she said. “I see it on both sides. I see too much hatred, period.”

Dingell also condemned the anti-Muslim poster that surfaced Friday during a Republican event in the West Virginia Capitol. The poster, which Democrats have called racist and Islamophobic, linked Omar to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks."

"Sign Falsely Linking Muslim Congresswoman To Sept. 11 Sparks Outrage In West Virginia"

Rep Engel, CAUTION with your talk of anti-sematic slurs . . . you might stray into the only real slur by disrespecting an honest, thoughtful broker of a problem in governing, lobbyists, and you may be showing dishonesty, prejudice and favoritism.

"

Omar fled war in Somalia and is the first refugee elected to Congress. She faced renewed accusations of anti-Semitism this week following a conversation about Israel on Wednesday night in Washington. "I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay to push for allegiance to a foreign country," she told supporters in a cafe.

Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said she invoked a "vile anti-Semitic slur" by questioning "the loyalty of fellow American citizens because of their political views, including support for the US-Israel relationship."

Earlier this month, Omar was criticized by both Republicans and Democrats for spreading an anti-Semitic stereotype on social media about members of the Jewish faith, money and power. She apologized "unequivocally.""

Semantics, language, willingness to discuss tough subjects, let's cut the crap, and stop with the tribalism.

Do your job Congressman Engel, and stop trying to speak for anyone other than yourself.
