Weak minds!  America's biggest problem is we have a large population of people with weak minds.  These weak minded people are too lazy to dig deep, do their homework, and study to comprehend the complexity of world and domestic issues.

Simple answers are satisfying to them.  That is why so many Americans like Tweety.  Tweety wants the Halloween New York, lower Manhattan truck driving idiot terrorist from ISIS executed as soon as possible.  That is simple, AND DUMB!

The Presidents do not make statements about criminal "suspects" even if they admit guilt.  People in the United States have rights, and are ALWAYS innocent until proven guilty through the proper execution of our justice system.  THAT is too complex for Tweety.

The American JUSTICE system rolls over Tweety' head.  He is too dumb to comprehend our justice system, the one he uses so often to declare bankruptcy or get a divorce or defend himself in the hundreds of law suits he has against him

Tweety does not like what is called separation of powers, as defined in by the Constitution of the United States of America.  That document is too "PC" in Tweety simple mind.  Tweety swore on the Bible he does not give a damn about to uphold the US Constitution he does not respect.  Ironic Americans like this Tweety Bird guy since he is truly debasing their country and running it into the ground.

Mistakes and bias and stupidity lead to lack of trust of our major media outlets.  The public sees to much fake news and corruption in media.

But we have to combat autocrats and plutocrats somehow!  We hate autocrats and plutocrats, don't we?  all know Tweety is a bully.  Tweety hits back against anyone he chooses to hit whenever they say anything he does not like.

Who can balance the Tweety lies and foolishness other than big media?  Regrettably big media is its own worst enemy with sloppy work.

"The Role of Media in a Democracy"
By Muhammad Hafiz, 8 March 2011

"A democracy is a system of government in which all the people of a country can vote to elect their representatives. Media came into existence around the 1780s with the introduction of newspapers, and since then it has matured by leaps and bounds. It has played a very important role in shaping human minds.

The Role of Media
Media plays a crucial role in shaping a healthy democracy. It is the backbone of a democracy. Media makes us aware of various social, political and economical activities happening around the world. It is like a mirror, which shows us or strives to show us the bare truth and harsh realities of life."

Things we should know.

"The Impact of Media
The impact of media is really noteworthy. Excessive coverage or hype of sensitive news has led to communal riots at times. The illiterates are more prone to provocations than the literates. News repetition, especially sensational news, breeds apathy and insensitivity amongst the public. For instance, in Dato’ Seri Anwar’s case, the sodomy case was repeatedly shown on most of the T.V. news channels and has now been known globally just because of their repetitions. There is a plethora of such negative impacts. The media should take utmost care in airing or publishing such sensational news frequently."

An educated public is essential to a viable democracy.  The media and in 2017, social media vie Facebook and Twitter for example, can help and hurt what we know and think, and how we act.

If we aren't smart enough to sort out fake news, our democracy will fail and America will become a banana republic akin to Niger.

"Do social media threaten democracy?"

Facebook, Google and Twitter were supposed to save politics as good information drove out prejudice and falsehood. Something has gone very wrong

Here are excerpts:

"A shorter attention spa...oh, look at that!

The use of social media does not cause division so much as amplify it."

"Social media, social responsibility

What is to be done? People will adapt, as they always do. A survey this week found that only 37% of Americans trust what they get from social media, half the share that trust printed newspapers and magazines. Yet in the time it takes to adapt, bad governments with bad politics could do a lot of harm."
