In case any American needs to be told, giving up your freedom of speech is the worst thing you can do!
Tweety, back away from our First Amendment. We will defeat every effort you make to alter our First Amendment rights! Speech is more important to us than guns! Being allowed to speak and write is the ultimate FREEDOM. Guns are secondary, literally. Would Americans rather talk thru an issue or shoot their way thru the issue? In speaking we risk losing and argument, with a gun we can lose our life.
It is a no brainer: First Amendment wins!

I cannot understand these two articles, or maybe they just don't address what I think is most important. Do YOU know what comes first, and then what comes second? The following makes the point we need most in my opinion.
"The First & Second Amendments"

"The First Amendment is widely considered to be the most important part of the Bill of Rights. It protects the fundamental rights of conscience—the freedom to believe and express different ideas--in a variety of ways."
More . . .
"The Second Amendment links the right to bear arms and “the security of a free state.” Without access to guns for a militia, Americans believed they were vulnerable to oppression. In England, Catholic rulers prohibited their Protestant subjects from owning firearms, and the English Bill of Rights corrected that injustice in 1689. Similarly, the U.S. Bill of Rights included bearing arms among the rights “of the people,” not just government militias."
