Tell the truth, open up to an investigation, lose your job.  Lie about sexual predation, keep your job.  Al Franken vs Tweety.

DUMB!  Selecting to target Al Franken, who may be the most honest, ethical Senator you will meet, to demand he resign because he is caught up in the #METOO campaign is just dumb.  Franken was politically lynched!

"Franken's Out, But It's No Victory For Women"

"So here we are. Franken is gone. The Senate Ethics Committee will never be able to finish its investigation of Franken and the charges leveled against him.

This story was already a huge disappointment. Now, it’s a tragedy. The Democratic lawmakers who forced Franken’s resignation might think they’re courageously and selflessly standing up for women who’ve endured mistreatment at the hands of men in office. They’re not."

"Al Franken’s Resignation and the Selective Force of #MeToo"

"There was one notable absence in his speech: Franken did not apologize. In fact, he made it clear that he disagreed with his accusers. “Some of the allegations against me are simply not true,” he said. “Others I remember very differently.” Earlier, Franken had in fact apologized to his accusers, and he didn’t take his apologies back now, but he made it plain that they had been issued in the hopes of facilitating a conversation and an investigation that would clear him. He had, it seems, been attempting to buy calm time to work while a Senate ethics committee looked into the accusations."

What Franken was seeking was VERY reasonable.  A fair review of the FACTS!  But the idea of a fir review of FACTS appears not possible in what is currently a select-an-accused to dismiss in a temporary zero tolerance campaign.

Let Trump go, let Moore get elected, let other abusers continue their careers while what appears to be an thoughtful, introspective man is FORCED resign!?

It was easy to demand Franken resign because if that is what "good" people wanted, as a truly fair and good person, that is what Franken will give them.  "Good" is in quotes because it means select an easy target, NOT THE IGHT TARGET!

Hypocrisy comes in many flavors!

" . . . the force works selectively. “I, of all people, am aware that there is some irony in the fact that I am leaving while a man who has bragged on tape about his history of sexual assault sits in the Oval Office and a man who has repeatedly preyed on young girls campaigns for the Senate with the full support of his party,” said Franken, referring to Donald Trump and the Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. Trump and Moore are immune because the blunt irresistible force works only on the other half of the country."

It's the hypocrisy of it all that churns my gut when Dems go after Franken harder than Tweety!

In the face of moral depravity of immense proportions, the "Libtards" blinked.

"The Trump era is one of deep and open immorality in politics. Moore is merely one example. Consider Greg Gianforte, the Montana Republican who won his congressional race earlier this year after not only being captured on tape shoving a newspaper reporter but then also lying to police about it. Consider the tax bill, which is stitched together from shameless greed and boldface lies. Consider the series of racist travel bans. Consider the withdrawal from a series of international agreements aimed at bettering the future of humanity, from migration to climate change to cultural preservation."

Deserving the term "Libtards," Democrats shoot themselves in the foot trying to be the "Good Doobie!"  Dems are losers because they try too hard to be what they think is "pure."

"The case of Franken makes it all that much more clear that this conversation is, in fact, about sex, not about power, violence, or illegal acts. The accusations against him, which involve groping and forcible kissing, arguably fall into the emergent, undefined, and most likely undefinable category of “sexual misconduct.” Put more simply, Franken stands accused of acting repeatedly like a jerk, and he denies that he acted this way. The entire sequence of events, from the initial accusations to Franken’s resignation, is based on the premise that Americans, as a society, or at least half of a society, should be policing non-criminal behavior related to sex."

"Fellow Democrats Call for Al Franken to Resign After New Allegation"
By Ted Johnson   6 Dec 2017

http://variety.com/2017/politics/news/al-franken-resignation-sexual-assault-1202632117/

"UPDATED: Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) faced calls for his resignation from fellow Democratic colleagues on Wednesday, after a new allegation surfaced of inappropriate conduct.

His office said that he would make an announcement on Thursday. Minnesota Public Radio reported that he planned to resign, but his office put out a statement saying “not accurate.”"

The leading "Libtard" fool is the first to call for Franken to resign.  I hope Gillibrand gets to see how stupid she is on this account one day.

"Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) was the first to demand Franken’s resignation."

Foolhardy Gillibrand says this: "“As elected officials, we should be held to the highest standards—not the lowest,” she wrote in a Facebook post.” The allegations against Sen. Franken describe behavior that cannot be tolerated. While he’s entitled to an Ethics Committee hearing, I believe he should step aside to let someone else serve.”"

Politicians will tend to do stupid things, and the push to get Franken to resign is one of those stupid things.  These politicians do not knw a fundamental rule of management is to take action that promotes the behavior you seek.  This is also true of every endeavor, of course.  Reward the right behavrio, punish the wrong behavior.  We train our dogs this way!

Are you as smart as Whoopi Goldberg on "The View?"  Whoopi knows, clearly KNOWS better than the Senators, and has stated it several times, it is ALWAYS better to allow a due process investigation to find the truth than to demand a resignation!

The Dems who told Al Franken to resign just made the biggest mistake of all, not honoring their own ethics review/investigative process.  These stupid Senators have unleashed the worst elements of behavior by telling Franken to resign.  These Senators even accepted anonymous sources as accusers notwithstanding Project Veritas well known efforts to trick liberals into making stupid choices.  I don't know who accused Franken, do you know them ALL?  Have they all been vetted?  The behavior and likely to surface is the Trump and Roy Moore behavior, deny, deny, deny.  Lie, lie, lie.  Every man and woman accused will forever be more inclined to lie than tell the truth.

I prefer the due diligent process, but that is gone now.
